[News] Big Bang top the iTunes Album Chart in Japan

YG Entertainment‘s Big Bang and 2NE1 have both topped the iTunes charts in Japan.

On March 29th, Big Bang and 2NE1 respectively ranked 1st and 2nd on the Japan iTunes Album chart.
Ahead of this achievement, Big Bang secured the #2 and 2NE1 the #4 position on the Oricon Daily Album chart for March 28th.



Big Bang released their ‘ALIVE‘ album in Japan with a ‘From Asia Into to the World’ concept, and the Japanese version includes two new songs that have not been included in the original Korean release.

2NE1′s first Japanese album is also drawing major attention upon release. Similar to a ‘Best Of’ album, the new 2NE1 album ‘COLLECTION‘ includes new Japanese tracks as well as Japanese versions of Korean hits “Fire“, “I Don’t Care“, and more.

In related news, the Big Bang members will kick off their ‘Big Bang ALIVE Tour 2012 in Japan‘ at the Gaishi Hall May 17th and 18th. Afterwards, the boys will also be performing at the Yokohama Arena, Osaka Castle, Saitama Super Arena, Fukuoka Marine Messe, and more.
